Folmer Technology,
based in sunny Florida, USA, is the work force behind Hawk
Racing™ and Folmer BMX™. Since the early 90's, the
Folmer Family has been interested in building and improving
different items made out of wood and steel. At the age of 12,
the founder of Hawk Racing was taught by his father how to weld.
By the age of 16, a little table CNC machine joined the
collection of workshop products and Folmer Technology was born
on a small scale.
In the early years of the
business, Sven welded his first bicycle frame and started racing
it. With limited funds he researched and developed products for
the Triathlon industry. He furthered his education with
private pilot and sky diving certifications expanding his
knowledge base to include aerodynamics along with the challange
to be fast on the bike.
Today Folmer Technology stands for "real life" based
research and improving products on the market that we believe
need improvement. We found such a need with overpriced
ceramic bearings, which is why we created Folmer Technology
Bearings. You will not see fancy words or hype used to try and
influence consumers on the quality of our products, because our
outstanding performace speaks for itself. All products are
tested in Elite level by athletes for athletes and only products
that have passed our high quality standards will be promoted and
sold.

With the CNC shop in St. Petersburg, Florida and the HQ of Hawk
Racing in Bradenton, FL we are able to focus more on accessories
for the road, triathlon and BMX industry. Furthermore, we can
develop products for other companies who have the need of
qualified engineers who also happen to be athletes with a
passion for cycling.
Everything produced by us is also
used by us on a daily basis. Some of our staff members raced or
still race, including professionally. So you can be sure it
performs even on the highest level. Our bottom brackets and
wheels are world champion approved and our marketing funds are
used for athletes, teams and events, with very little spent on
magazine ads. We believe if you feel, see and touch our
products you will recognize that they work as well, if not
better, than any other product on the market. Welcome to Hawk
